AVA is an LED mask for the face and neck, based on photobiomodulation technology, which uses red light (633 nm), near-infrared light (850 nm and 1072 nm), blue light (415 nm), and yellow light (590 nm), integrated into 6 preset 10-minute programs.

Designed for regular home use, AVA transforms LED technology into a simple and consistent care and wellness ritual.

The mask combines 147 LED points (90 for the face and 57 for the neck), totaling 588 LED chips, for uniform light distribution over the entire treated surface.

The wavelengths used are selected based on available scientific literature regarding light interaction with the skin and are integrated into user-friendly, preset programs, without complicated settings.

The flexible silicone design adapts to the contours of the face and neck for increased comfort, and the external controller, the three intensity levels, and the automatic 10-minute sessions make AVA easy to integrate into your daily routine.

Everything you need to know about AVA

FAQs

How does the Longera AVA LED mask work?

AVA is an LED face and neck mask based on the principles of photobiomodulation. It uses five studied wavelengths (415 nm, 590 nm, 633 nm, 850 nm, and 1072 nm), integrated into six preset 10-minute programs. The emitted light interacts with the skin, and consistent use transforms LED technology into a simple skincare and wellness ritual.

What is photobiomodulation?

Photobiomodulation is the interaction of light with biological tissues and is one of the most studied fields of light-based technologies. Different wavelengths are being researched for how they interact with energy-associated cellular processes.

How often should I use the AVA LED Mask?

For regular use, AVA is designed for 3–5 sessions per week, depending on your personal routine. Each session lasts only 10 minutes, and consistency is more important than the duration of a single use.

How long does a session last and why is 10 minutes enough?

Each program lasts 10 minutes and delivers an energy dose of approximately 29 J/cm² at maximum intensity. The duration was chosen to provide the light energy required by the device in a timeframe that is easy to integrate into a daily routine, without the need for longer sessions.

What wavelengths does AVA use?

AVA uses five studied wavelengths:

  • 415 nm – blue light
  • 590 nm – yellow light
  • 633 nm – red light
  • 850 nm – near-infrared
  • 1072 nm – near-infrared

These are combined into six preset programs for different care routines.

What is the difference between red light and near-infrared light?

Red light (633 nm) and near-infrared light (850 nm and 1072 nm) belong to different regions of the light spectrum. Red light is visible, while near-infrared light is invisible to the human eye. In photobiomodulation, these wavelengths are frequently used together and are among the most studied in the literature.

Can I use the LED mask with my skincare products?

Yes. AVA can be easily integrated into your regular skincare routine. Generally, it is recommended to use it on clean, dry skin, and cosmetic products can be applied after the session, according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

Why does AVA also include the neck area?

The skin on the neck is exposed to the same external factors as the skin on the face and is part of a complete skincare routine. That's why AVA includes a dedicated neck mask, offering extended coverage and simultaneous use for both areas.

Is the AVA LED mask rechargeable?

Yes. AVA uses an external controller with a rechargeable USB-C battery, offering freedom of movement and intuitive use. The device includes an automatic timer and three intensity levels (50%, 75%, and 100%).

What does the AVA package contain?

Package includes:

  • LED face mask
  • LED neck mask
  • External controller
  • USB-C cable
  • Fixing straps
  • Storage bag
  • User manual
  • Warranty certificate

How long does it take to see changes if I use the AVA LED mask?

Results vary from person to person and depend on the consistency of use, skincare routine, and skin characteristics. AVA is designed for regular use, and consistency is an important element in integrating photobiomodulation into a skincare routine.

Why does AVA use 5 wavelengths and not 7 colours?

AVA was not designed around the highest possible number of colors, but rather around the wavelengths studied in specialized literature. The focus is on wavelength selection, uniform light distribution, irradiance, and delivered energy dose, to provide a consistent and well-balanced user experience.

Who shouldn't use the AVA LED mask?

Yes. AVA is intended for home use and must be used according to the user manual. Before use, we recommend consulting a doctor if you are in any of the following situations:

  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You have epilepsy or a history of seizures triggered by flashing light, as AVA uses a pulsing function at 10 Hz.
  • You have known photosensitivity or are undergoing treatment with photosensitizing drugs.
  • You have an active skin condition, an open wound, a skin infection, or sunburn in the application area.
  • You have an eye condition or have recently undergone eye surgery. Always follow the eye protection recommendations in the user manual.
  • You are undergoing dermatological treatment or have a medical condition for which your doctor recommends avoiding light exposure.

If you have any concerns regarding the use of the AVA LED mask or are unsure if the product is suitable for you, consult your doctor before use.

User safety is our priority. Therefore, we recommend following the instructions in the manual and consulting a doctor whenever there are doubts about the product's use.
