About AVA
What is the AVA LED mask?
AVA is an LED face and neck mask, designed to integrate light-based technology into a simple and consistent skincare ritual.
For which areas can AVA be used?
AVA is designed to cover the face and neck areas.
How many LEDs does the AVA LED mask have?
AVA integrates 147 LED points, distributed between the face (90) and neck (57), equivalent to 588 LED chips.
What do the 588 LED chips mean?
AVA uses 147 LED points (90 for the face and 57 for the neck), each integrating 4 LED chips, one for each wavelength: 415 nm (blue), 590 nm (yellow), 633 nm (red), and 850 nm (near-infrared).
What does the AVA package contain?
The package includes:
- LED facial mask;
- neck extension;
- control unit;
- USB-C cable;
- adjustable strap;
- carry pouch;
- warranty certificate;
- user manual.
Where can I download the AVA manual?
The manual can be downloaded from the product page or accessed: HERE
Why does AVA include the neck area?
The face and neck are daily exposed to the same external factors, such as UV radiation, pollution, and oxidative stress. That's why AVA includes a dedicated neck mask, providing extended coverage and the possibility of simultaneous use for both areas.
Why does AVA use 5 wavelengths and not 7 colors?
AVA was not designed around the largest possible number of colors, but around the wavelengths studied in the specialized literature on photobiomodulation. The emphasis is on the choice of wavelengths, uniform light distribution, irradiance, and the energy dose delivered, not on the number of available colors.
Why does AVA use the 1072 nm wavelength?
In addition to 415 nm, 590 nm, 633 nm and 850 nm wavelengths, AVA also integrates 1072 nm in 12 LED units placed around the eyes and nasolabial folds. This configuration extends the light spectrum into some of the most complex contours of the face and represents a distinctive element of AVA's design.
Why does covering your face and neck matter?
The uniform distribution of light sources and the flexible mask design allow for extensive coverage of the face and neck, including around the nose and lip contour. This contributes to the most uniform light distribution on the skin surface.
Usage
How to use the AVA LED Mask?
AVA is used according to the instructions in the manual. The automatic session lasts 10 minutes and can be easily integrated into your daily routine.
How long is a session?
A standard session lasts 10 minutes.
How often can it be used?
AVA is designed for regular use. For most users, it is recommended to use 3-5 times a week, as part of a consistent skincare and wellbeing ritual.
Can I use AVA with my skincare products?
Yes. For optimal comfort, it is recommended to use AVA on clean and dry skin. Skincare products and active ingredients can be incorporated into your routine after the session, depending on your preferences.
What do the 6 preset programs mean?
The six preset programs combine different wavelengths in a predetermined sequence, adapted for various care routines. Each session lasts 10 minutes and eliminates the need for manual settings, offering a simple and intuitive experience.
How long does it take to see changes if I use AVA consistently?
Results vary from person to person and depend on the consistency of use, skincare routine, and lifestyle.
In clinical studies on photobiomodulation, the technology is used regularly, usually 3-5 times a week, and the first changes are generally assessed after 4-8 weeks of consistent use. Some benefits continue to develop beyond this period.
For optimal results, consistency is more important than occasional use.
What intensity level should I choose?
AVA offers three intensity levels: 50%, 75%, and 100%. You can start with a lower level for acclimatization and adjust it later according to your comfort and preferences.
Do I need to wear safety glasses?
Always follow the instructions in the user manual and avoid looking directly at light sources when the mask is on.
Is it safe for home use?
Yes. AVA is designed for home use and complies with European standards applicable to consumer electronic products, including CE, RoHS, and EMC. For safe use, always follow the instructions in the manual.
Where can I find the complete technical specifications?
You can download the user manual in PDF format.
Technology and Science
What is photobiomodulation?
Photobiomodulation studies the interaction of light with biological tissues and is one of the most researched areas of light-based technologies.
What wavelengths does AVA use?
AVA utilizes:
- 415 nm (blue)
- 590 nm (yellow)
- 633 nm (red)
- 850 nm (near-infrared)
- 1072 nm (near-infrared)
What is the difference between red light and near-infrared light?
These wavelengths penetrate different skin depths and are being studied for how they interact with energy-associated cellular processes.
What is irradiance?
Irradiance represents the amount of light energy delivered per unit area per second and is expressed in mW/cm². Together with the session duration, it determines the energy dose delivered to the skin. In photobiomodulation, not only the wavelength is important, but also the parameters through which light is administered.
What is the AVA irradiance?
AVA provides a uniform irradiance of approximately 48.51 mW/cm².
What is the AVA energy dose (J/cm²)?
The energy dose represents the total amount of light energy delivered during a session and is expressed in joules per square centimeter (J/cm²). At maximum intensity, AVA delivers approximately 29 J/cm² in a 10-minute automated session.
Where can I find out more about the science of light?

What does CE marking mean?
The CE mark indicates that the product complies with relevant European safety, health, and environmental requirements.
Is the product RoHS compliant?
Yes. AVA is manufactured from RoHS compliant materials.
What does EMC stand for?
EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) refers to the safe operation of the device in a home environment, free from electromagnetic interference.
Is AVA a medical device?
AVA is designed as a wellness and personal care device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent diseases.
